Major Responsibilities
Develops, writes code, tests, and analyzes computer software programs and applications of simple to moderate complexity. Analyzes user needs and review system specifications for circumstances requiring routine skill. Researches and documents the requirements of the user. Designs, builds and modifies software specifications as required to meet changing business requirements. Studies research on emerging application development software products, languages and standards in support of development efforts. Recommends and performs software improvements and upgrades. Occasionally, after hours and/or weekend work will be required to support critical customer needs or where the use of cell phones and pagers will be required to respond to emergency situations. Travel will also be required to support customers in remote business units for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
1.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent with emphasis on business applications programming.
2.Three (3) to five (5) years programming experience
3.Must be knowledgeable and proficient in ASP.NET, Visual Basic 6.0, Visual Basic.Net and Crystal report writing.
4.Must have knowledge of SQL Server 2000 and Enterprise Manager.
5.Must have developed simple to moderately complex software programs from customer specs to user sign-off.
6.Knowledge of JD Edwards OneWorld, SIRE, and Trapeze applications and Oracle database is helpful.
7.Position will require support on proprietary products 25 – 75% of the time.
8.Must demonstrate the ability to communicate information and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.
9.Must demonstrate the ability to manage time, meet scheduled due dates and track the status of projects.
10.Must be able to multi-task where the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently is required.
11.Must have the ability to work within a team and/or independently depending on the need.
