System Support Tech (SAMS-E)

Description
The SAMS-I/E Systems Support Tech is responsible for reporting and resolving SAMS-E / IE issues for a geographical region or customer unit.

Specific Duties:

• Supervises Over-the-Shoulder (OTS) Support coordinating solutions with other contractors, government employees and customers for training, networking, hardware or software issues.
• Assists team members during data conversion to include collecting historical data files, initial system configuration and issuing hardware.
• May serve as an instructor for SAMS-E / IE functional and technical courses covering Maintenance Management, Production Control, Supply Management and System Administration.
• May assume duties as site lead when required.
• May lead and direct subcontractors supporting the fielding initiative.
• A wide degree of creativity, flexibility and latitude is expected.
• Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 5 years directly related work experience dealing directly with military customers and management are required.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to successfully complete the Stanley Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance is required for continued employment; US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to travel up to 75% or less.
• Ability to maintain a high level of visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time as required by preparing and analyzing data, figures, computer terminals, etc.
• Ability to operate necessary office equipment, computer software, hardware and equipment.
• Ability to perform the following physical activities, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, feeling, talking and hearing.
• Requires working in both internal and external environments subject to variation in temperature.
• Physical requirements of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force to move objects.
• Previous/significant time with US Army Logistics systems

Preferred Skills:

• 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• College degree preferred
• Excellent business, writing and communication skills
• SAMS-E or SAMS-I/TDA experience a plus
• IT experience with networking and/or databases a plus
• US Army CSSAMO or Logistics automation experience a plus
