Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

·Participate in all aspects of the projects, from the preliminary study to design engineering and plans and specifications;

·Support technical aspects for projects in a heavy industry plant.

·Perform the project control of the mechanical discipline (scope/cost/schedule/estimate/forecast)

·Provide technical support to construction sites when necessary

·Manage team including the mentoring of less experienced engineers

Requirements:

.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in heavy industry;

·7 to 12 years experience in the heavy industry field, preferable in plant engineering;

·Experience in the design and specification of industrial equipment piping, and HVAC with knowledge of applicable industry standards and codes, accepted design practices and quality standards;

·The successful candidate will have experience in preparing design calculations, system analysis, cost estimates, and preparation of specifications report, and bid evaluations;

·Candidate will be required to make jobsite visits to review existing plant facilities and assist plant operations in troubleshooting and analysis of existing facilities;

·Experience in consulting engineering is an asset;

·Computer skills and other engineering applications, project scheduling, spreadsheets;

·Excellent planning abilities and interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
